Jakarta, January 2025 — PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating a healthy, safe, and productive work environment through the implementation of the NEBULA (Nurturing Energy, Balance & Ultimate Life Awareness) program. This program is a healthy impact challenge designed to encourage active employee participation in adopting a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
NEBULA will be held from January 19 to February 6, 2025, with the competition period running for one month. The program is mandatory for all members of PAMA divisions, AFFCO, and subcontractor teams in the Head Office & CCOS areas, and is categorized into three classes based on the number of employees: Heavy Class, Medium Class, and Light Class. Through NEBULA, PAMA aims to increase employee awareness of the importance of physical health, mental well-being, and work–life balance, which ultimately contributes positively to work performance and productivity.
The NEBULA program is structured into several thematic weeks, including physical activity, healthy eating, mental health, workplace environment, and compliance with health programs.
Evaluation will be conducted comprehensively, covering division participation rates, total exercise hours, creativity in awareness materials, compliance with Medical Check-Up (MCU) requirements, and consistency in consuming healthy food, supported by uploaded evidence.
Regular physical activity plays a crucial role in maintaining employee health. Various studies show that workers who rarely exercise face a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders (such as back and joint pain), as well as stress, mental fatigue, and decreased productivity.
Global health data also indicates that physical inactivity increases the risk of premature death and reduces quality of life. In addition, sedentary lifestyles in the workplace contribute to rising levels of employee absenteeism and burnout.
As an integrated mining services company, PAMA believes that healthy employees are the fundamental foundation of operational success. Therefore, NEBULA is not only a competition but also a platform for education and strengthening a healthy lifestyle culture within the workplace.
“Through NEBULA, we aim to foster awareness that maintaining health is not merely an individual responsibility, but part of PAMA’s work culture. We encourage employees to stay physically active, maintain healthy eating habits, and pay attention to their mental well-being to support sustainable performance and workplace safety,” said Herjadi Budiman, SHE Division Head at PT Pamapersada Nusantara.
Moving forward, PAMA remains committed to continuously introducing innovative and participatory health programs to support the creation of a safe, comfortable, healthy, and productive work environment, in line with the company’s sustainability values.
