JAKARTA (7/1) â PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) officially launched the series of activities for the 2026 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month. The event marks a strategic momentum for the company to reaffirm its commitment to positioning occupational safety and health as the fundamental pillar for achieving operational excellence and sustaining mining business operations.
PAMAâs management emphasized the importance of strengthening system implementation as part of a continuous preventive effort. Therefore, the company has established three main focuses for the implementation of the 2026 National K3 Month.
The first focus is enhancing system implementation. PAMA stressed that all management systems must be applied consistently, properly documented, evaluated for effectiveness, and oriented toward tangible results. Hazard identification and risk control processes must be carried out proactively and effectively. In addition, all safety standards and procedures must be implemented in real operational practices, supported by systematic corrective actions for any deviations identified in the field.
The second focus is strengthening the role of supervisors. Supervisors serve as the frontline in ensuring that all mining activities are conducted in accordance with technical rules, operational standards, and safety regulations. Therefore, supervisors are required to possess strong technical competence and leadership capabilities, have the courage to stop unsafe work, build effective two-way communication with workers, and consistently carry out inspections, examinations, and feasibility testing of mining facilities, infrastructure, installations, and equipment.
The third focus is enhancing safety culture. A strong safety culture is reflected in compliance with procedures driven by awareness rather than obligation. Every individual within PAMA is expected to take responsibility for their own safety and that of others. This is supported by leadership consistency in enforcing safety regulations and implementing good mining practices, as well as by fostering openness in reporting unsafe conditions without fear.
Safety remains the primary foundation for achieving operational excellence and long-term business sustainability. Operational excellence should not only be measured through productivity and cost efficiency but must also be aligned with the implementation of superior occupational safety and health standards.
The implementation of the 2026 National K3 Month at PAMA is aligned with the policies and directives of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, in accordance with the official theme of the 2026 National K3 Month. Through this momentum, PAMA remains committed to strengthening its systems, improving the quality of supervision, and cultivating a strong and sustainable safety culture across all operational areas of the company.
