PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) as one of the companies who are concerned with CSR programs, has include the field of education into one of its CSR programs.
In cooperation with PT United Tractors (UT), Astra Educational Foundation Michael D. Ruslim (YPA-MDR) and the Government District (Regency) of West Kutai, PAMA had conducted development training for 5 schools in West Kutai District, namely SDN 002 Jengan Danum, SDN 001 Dilang Puti, SDN 002 Dilang Puti, SMP 6 Sendawar and SMP 16 Sendawar.
The development activity was marked by the signing of the MoU between PAMA, represented by Mr. Dede Andarso as the HCGS Div. Head; with UT, represented by Mr. Edhi Sarwono as the Director of Human Capital and ESR; YPA-MDR, represented by Mrs. Yusnani Tjandrawti as well as Mrs. Endang Indriati as the Chairman and Treasurer of the foundation; and West Kutai Regency, represented by its Vice Regent, Mr. H. Didik Effendi, S.Sos.
The development activity will take place for over 4 years. The programs that are to be implemented include:
1. Academic programs
2. Life Skills Program
3. Values Education Program
4. Program Support, such as Try Outs, Work Meetings, Guidance Unit and School Activities
5. Monitoring Program.
After signing the MoU, the activity continued with an Academic Training attended by 68 participants consisting of the School’s Principal, Teachers and Administrative Staffs. The activity lasted for four days, from the 13th – 16th of July 2011. The training was conducted by trainers from the University of Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) in Salatiga.
The training was more focused on a school-based management in hope that each school will develop a complete organizational school structure along with its functions and School Activity Plans and the School Budget Work Plan in accordance to the requirement of each school.
